Nestled in Singapore’s vibrant Katong-Joo Chiat district, the Peranakan Mansion is a lovingly conserved 1928 Peranakan Chinese house that invites you on an immersive journey into the rich tapestry of Singapore's unique Peranakan Chinese heritage. Home to an extensive collection of material culture exhibits, the Mansion showcases the artistry, traditions, and stories of the Baba and Nyonya, blending Colonial, Chinese, and Malay influences. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply curious, a visit to the Peranakan Mansion promises lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for Singapore’s multicultural heritage. The fee includes admission and a 1-hour guided tour around the museum.

Important Notes for Participants

The Peranakan Mansion display is on the second floor of the building. Guests must be able to climb up/down a flight of steps with a handrail.

Parents/guardians must accompany any child under the age of 12 as there are many artefacts on display around the museum.

Straits Enclave is a shophouse museum with a rare collection of Peranakan antiques located along Joo Chiat Road. The museum offers a range of programmes including museum tours, cultural talks and workshops which focus imparting knowledge on Singapore's Peranakan Chinese culture and heritage to all.
