With colour illustrations, line drawings, jingles and a chatty approach, Singapore children of lower Primary School age are introduced to ten of the country's pioneers. These personalities, such as Sir Manasseh Meyer, Tan Sri Runme Shaw, Lim Nee Soon, and Zubir Said, are almost all 20th century personalities whose names will be familiar to parents and grandparents so history is being brought into daily consciousness.
