With Singapore having ratified the UNESCO convention to safeguard ICH in 2018 and recently having Hawker Culture added to the UNESCO Representative List of ICH, MUSE SG is launching a two-part series that uncovers the various ICH practices in Singapore. In this second issue, we explore Jewish Passover, Indian goldsmithing, dondang sayang, traditional Chinese music, the Parsi community and Zoroastrianism, myths of Singapore and the Nanyang breakfast. This issue also features the six recipients of the inaugural Stewards of Singapore’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Award.
