Heritage Conservation Centre completed the conservation of this oil on canvas portrait of prominent 19th century Straits Chinese merchant and philanthropist Tan Kim Seng.
Conservation treatment for this painting took almost 3 months to complete, and included steps such as cleaning, wax removal,in-filling, in-painting and selective varnishing.
