Discover the magic of heritage photography at British Hainan in our workshop! Participants will learn the art of smartphone photography, capture the charm of old-school historical objects and uncover the secrets of vintage gadgets like jukeboxes, accordions, retro TVs, and gramophones. This immersive experience promises to ignite creativity and appreciation for our rich heritage, making history come alive through the eyes of our explorers. 

Light refreshments will be provided. Kindly note that British Hainan is not a halal-certified restaurant.

Ticket price: $5.00

Important Notes for Participants

Kindly note that no refund or exchange of tickets is allowed under any circumstance except for programme cancellation. Participants are required to bring a smartphone, power bank, and are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the programme. The programme will begin on time.

One ticket includes entry for one child and one accompanying parent/guardian. The accompanying parent/guardian will not be required to buy their own ticket.

By registering for this programme, participants agree:
a) that the personal information supplied will be strictly used for the purposes stated above;
b) that Katong Culture and NHB may take photographs and/or videos of them (or their child as applicable) and use the images and/or videos including to archive, exhibit and publish them for publicity or any other NHB purposes; and
c) for Katong Culture and NHB to contact them regarding the programme that they have signed up for, as well as other communication that may be of interest to them.

 

ABOUT KATONG CULTURE

Katong Culture is an interest group of the Joo Chiat Community Club Management Committee and anchor partner for the Heritage Activation Node at Katong-Joo Chiat. Comprising ground up activists from civic society, grassroots organisations and volunteers with an interest and love for the neighbourhood, the group organises cultural and heritage events, with the purpose of promoting and preserving the local culture.
