This prayer wheel consists of a painted cylindrical bell-shaped wheel, which is placed on a high platform and bound by a four poster frame. The wheel and its frame are painted with Buddhist iconographic imagery, and studded with eight auspicious signs in brass. The predominant use of red, yellow, green and black vegetable colours in oil base covers all the exposed surfaces of this artefact. It was placed for indoor use in the monastery or in the high-lama's room.
