The East India Directory (also known as the East India Pilot or the Oriental Navigator) was a practical guide to navigators aboard Royal Navy ships and East Indiamen. This set was published by Laurie & Whittle in 1799, and contains 45 numbered engraved charts on 46 map sheets, related to the journey from England to Asia. The original owner of this pilot was Captain James MacFarland of the Royal Navy.
