This passport is a record of Ahmad bin Mohamed Ibrahim's travels to Britain to study at Cambridge University (1936-1939), where he graduated with first class honours in Economics and Law. He served as the first Advocate-General of the State of Singapore (1959-1965) and later the first Attorney-General of the Republic of Singapore (1965-1967). He played a key role in drafting the Women's Charter, Intestate Succession Act, Administration of Muslim Law Act (AMLA), and other statutes. He also lent his legal expertise in the merger talks in London (1963).
