This lawyer's wig belonged to Ahmad bin Mohamed Ibrahim who played a key role in shaping the legal and social foundations of Singapore. Prof Ahmad served as the first Advocate-General of the State of Singapore (1959-1965) and later the first Attorney-General of the Republic of Singapore (1965-1967). He played a key role in drafting the Women's Charter, Intestate Succession Act, Administration of Muslim Law Act (AMLA), and other statutes. He also lent his legal expertise in the merger talks in London (1963).
