Distributed by Xinhua Culture Enterprises (新华书店) , this book features a collection of essays covering a large range of topics such as philosophy, literature, language, history, culture, science, politics and economics etc. The essays were mostly by intellectuals or prominent politicians from Singapore, including founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and Minister for Finance Goh Keng Swee.
