This Silver coin is inscribed by hand with the names of the Shi’aite Panjtan-i-pak or Five Holy Ones. This coin was used as an auspicious accessory during occassions such as weddings and naming ceremonies by the donor’s family, who are members of Singapore’s Dawoodi Bohra community.
