The Singapore Bincentennial $20 note was launched by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to commemorate Singapore’s bicentennial in 2019. The note illustrates Singapore’s journey to nationhood and features eight pioneers who made important contributions to nation building including Businessman and Philanthropist P Govindasamy Pillai. P Govindasamy Pillai is well known for his acts of philanthropy to Singapore and its Indian community. He was also a founding member of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and a Justice of Peace.
