Completed by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) in 1977, Rochor Centre was designed in a podium and tower style, and comprised 183 shops on its first three levels and 567 residential units from levels five to sixteen of its four blocks (Blocks 1-4 Rochor Road). The blocks were painted in vibrant colours: green (Block 1), blue (Block 2), yellow (Block 3) and red (Block 4). Rochor Centre was demolished in 2018 to make way for the new North-South Corridor expressway.
