Life and Letters of Sir Gilbert Elliot First Earl of Minto from 1751 to 1806, three volumes

Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles established a British East India Company trading factory in Singapore in 1819. Lord Minto, as Governor-General of India, was a supporter and patron of Raffles. This book compiles his letters before his appointment as Governor-General in 1807.
