This prayer book, based on a text composed by 18th century Kurdish poet and Islamic jurist, Ja'far ibn Hasan ibn Abd al-Karim al-Barzanji, contains poetry that is recited in praise of Prophet Muhammad. Every page of this book is filled with intricate polychrome and gold decoration in the distinctive East Coast style found along the contiguous cultural zone from Terengganu to Patani, southern Thailand.
