Letter from Thomas Stamford Raffles to William Raffles, 29 October 1812

Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles established a British East India Company trading factory in Singapore in 1819. This letter was written to his uncle William Raffles the father of the Revd Thomas Raffles in 1812, thanking his uncle for paying attention to his mother Ann. It was sent from Buitenzorg (Bogor today), where Raffles was Lieutenant-Governor of Java.
