The kukri is the traditional weapon of choice for Gurkhas, or Nepalese soldiers. The knife has a distinctive recurve and is primarily designed for chopping. It traditionally comes in a scabbard which holds two smaller knives: the chakmak, a blunt knife used to sharpen the blade of the kukri, and the karda, a smaller and more precise knife.
