Gold Tubular Earrings (Murikkilattam)

Earrings such as these are from South India – similar earrings can be seen in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. They are of solid, high-grade gold. They are decorated with ribs, applied granulation work and small posts with pyramidal finial.The earrings open and close with a hinge mechanism. They open and close well.
