This set of overalls belonged to Mr Chong Nam Soy, who joined Rollei in 1971 when he was 22 years old. He had just completed his studies in Production Engineering in Singapore Polytechnic when he came across Rollei's recruitment advertisement in the newspapers. Mr Chong was trained as a craftsman in the assembly of shutters for various Rollei compact cameras, and like the rest of his colleagues, he would wear the company-issued overalls while at work. As part of his training, Mr Chong was sent to Germany for seven months. He remembers taking a Lufthansa flight that took 18 hours to arrive in Frankfurt, which included stopovers in Bangkok, Bombay and Dubai.
