This advertisement tray provides an interesting overlay of visual and textual information and in the process reveals the robust food production and distribution network in Singapore. Possibly issued by the Goh Joo Hin Wee lee Kia trading Co as a marketing device, the tray bears the company’s address at 244 Rochore Road, Singapore 7. Dominating the space is the iconic arch bridge and building in the Chinese themed garden in Jurong (launched in 1975). On the right is the plastic bottle of Redman brand orange flavoured concentrate produced by Phoon Huat – well-known local food company established in 1947.
