There are a total four circular trays, one brass tray and three lacquer trays respectively. They were used together with lacquered wooden baskets and tray covers during the lap chai (gift exchange) ceremony to transport wedding gifts. The gifts were displayed on such brass and lacquer wooden trays. These originally belonged to a Peranakan family from Malacca.
