This silver casket bearing the royal cypher of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was presented to Yang di-Pertuan Negara Yusof Ishak during Prince Philip’s 2-day state visit to Singapore in February 1965. During his visit, the Duke was given a tour of the Housing and Development Board and briefed on the state’s housing plans, as well as industrial developments. He also participated in a polo match at the Singapore Polo Club.
