Team MP refers to the People's Action Party's (PAP) proposal to establish Group Representation Constituencies (GRCs), electoral divisions that are led by a team of multiracial candidates. The PAP saw the setting up of GRCs as a way to ensure that Singapore's parliament would always be multiracial in composition and representation. The parliamentary general election in 1988 was the first time that GRCs were introduced.
