This photograph shows two Indo Eurasian women in sarong kebayas and a child on the patio. With continuous improvement of camera technology, it became possible to take photographs outside a studio in the first decades of the 20th century. Many middle-class families collected photographs in albums as a way of documenting family life, or documentasi keluarga.
