This postcard shows Sultan Ibrahim of Johor standing with a dead tiger at his feet. As this image and the handwritten on the reverse indicates, the Sultan was an avid hunter. He became Sultan upon the death of his father, Sultan Abu Bakar, in 1895, and became the longest reigning Sultan of Johor until his death in 1959.
