Round table with formica top and foldable legs

Formica was commonly used as a surface laminate in furniture from the 1950s to the 1970s because of its low cost and cheerful appearance. Though there was a wide range of colours, patterns and effects for furniture makers and consumers to choose from, the green formica was most commonly used on tables and chairs in Singapore. Tables such as this could be easily folded up and moved around despite the metal legs. Its easy mobility meant that it did not occupy a fixed position.
