Singapore Airlines portable chess set

This portable chess set would have been distributed as souvenirs to passengers on board Singapore Airlines flights. Singapore Airlines (SIA) was inaugurated in 1972 after the separation of Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA). Today, SIA is recognised as one of the world’s most successful airline and its cabin crew – the “Singapore Girl” has become an international icon.
