This is the logbook of the Dutch East India Company cargo vessel "Drie Gezusters". The three-mast frigate was owned by the Rotterdam merchant Anthony van Hoboken, and in this logbooks, its voyages in 1821 to Batavia, Borneo and Japan and in 1825 to Canton are documented, both captained by Martinus Azon Jacometti. It features a watercolour drawing of the vessel on the frontispiece.
