Founded in 1925, this Cantonese Association was set up with the aims of promoting theatre and music, as well as helping society through charitable performances (often to aid in various fund-raising events). During the Japanese Occupation period, the Association helped in fund-raising for war relief efforts back in China, and later during the post-war period, helped to raise funds for building schools.
