Chinese Language (华文) textbook for Primary Four

This Chinese Language textbook was produced with the objective of meeting the educational requirements of Singapore and imparting the right values and virtues to the local students, while retaining a Malayan consciousness. With self-government attained in 1959, the curriculum moved from a China-based one to a more Malayan one. The content featured topics and personalities related to Singapore and Malaya, with a conscious effort to promote racial harmony.
