This is a HDB staff pin that is shaped in the form of its logo. As the national public housing authority, the HDB was formed in February 1960. It succeeded the SIT (1927) and began to provide living accommodations and by 1965 it had completed its first 5 year program with a total of 54, 430 units Over the years, the role of the HDB has also expanded and to changed needs of the local population. This includes various upgrading, redevelopment and improvement programs.
