This hip-cloth features two indigo bands decorated with chickens placed in opposing directions rendered in white. They are set against a background of stripes featuring the bright colour scheme of Oecusse in East Timor, which uses pink, yellow and green amongst the typical red, blue and white. Most likely worn by men wrapped around the waist, it was made with two pieces of cloth that were woven separately, then joined together.
