State of Singapore Passport

This State of Singapore passport belonged to a Cantonese female domestic helper, Ms Leong Kun Toh. The passport is dated to 17 July 1963, 2 months before the merger of Singapore and Malaya and the formation of Malaysia. The passport features the owner’s personal particulars, with her profession labelled peculiarly: “Servant,” and her place of birth: “China”. The password was subsequently renewed in 1964 as a Malaysian passport, with recorded immigration stamps to Hong Kong and Malaysia.
