This is an early 20th century update of a 19th century map of Southeast Asia originally produced by John Arrowsmith, an English geographer and member of the Arrowsmith family of cartographers. The European possessions are delineated more clearly, and undersea cables are now included. The inset of Singapore is repeated from the original map, but featuring greater development.
