This print captures the fanfare surrounding the launch of the English East India Company ship, the 'Edinburgh'. It was based on an original painting by marine painter William Huggins, and printed by his son-in-law Edward Duncan. On the stocks to the left is the 'Abercrombie Robinson', which would be launched the next year.
