This purple long-sleeve peplum wool jersey top and matching skirt was designed by Benny Ong. It was from the main label collection and given to his sister. Benny Ong was a Singaporean fashion designer in London well-known for his designer cocktail and evening wear from the 1970s to 1990s. The early collections of Ong were sold at Harrods and Selfridges, two of London’s most reputable departmental stores. A graduate of the prestigious St Martin’s School of Art and Design, Ong was one of the pioneer Singaporean-born designers who successfully established their fashion business in London.
