The Siddhapratima Yantra, meaning magical diagram depicting a perfected being, shows the silhouette of a Jina from the Digambara sect of Jainism. It is cut out of a copper plaque which is stele-shaped with a stepped base, the usual style of a sculpture, except there is a space where the figure would be. This type of image is a way of showing a formless form. It denotes the ultimate transcendence of the perfected being.
