This Olivetti Studio 46 typewriter was a gift to the donor by her father during the 1980s, which she used during her London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Intermediate and Advance Typewriting examinations, as well as the LCCI Private Secretarial Certificate examination. Candidates who sat for such external examinations during those days had to bring their own typewriters. Qualifications from the LCCI were required for anyone who wanted to take up secretarial jobs, which were especially popular among women during that period.
