The Swimming Beaver is an example of the low value added toys manufactured by Tomy Singapore.The toy would have been designed in Tokyo and sophisticated parts would have been imported to Singapore in putting it together. Most of its metallic parts would have been produced in Singapore. Tomy Singapore is perhaps most remembered for its (supposedly) annual donation of toys (valued at $100,000) to Singapore’s poor children every Christmas.
