This image features Mr Mahmoodul Hasan, who operated the M. Hassan Railway Food Station in the main concourse of the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station before the closure of the station. His younger brother ran another eatery on Platform 1 of the station. This image is part of the "Tracking Memories" collection by the late Mr Kwek Leng Joo. The collection captures different aspects of the Malayan Railway story in Singapore, documenting an important chapter in the history of Singapore. Some of the works were exhibited at the National Museum of Singapore in 2011, together with the watercolour paintings of Mr Ong Kim Seng.
