This baju panjang has a mandarin collar and gold frog buttons. The fabric is thin and embroidered with flowers. In late 19th century Java, there was a large selection of materials to choose from for the making of baju panjang, including silk, European cotton and velvet. It is part of a donation which contains a mixture of garments worn by Peranakan men and women.
