This kebaya has been cut from its fabric but remains unfinished. The orange fabric features a yellow grid pattern. Embroidery of sunflowers and foliage seem to be most finished at the sleeves, though some work had been started at the front. Drawings in black give a glimpse of the intended design. Kebayas with elongated tapered ends were popular in the 1930s and many were commissioned by Peranakan women. It is part of a donation which contains a mixture of garments worn by Peranakan men and women.
