The beaded face of this kasot manek depicts a peacock standing upon a branch with flowers in full bloom. A printed mark ‘122…Beaded Slip…’ is visible on the insole. The heel is low. The popularity of the kasot manek was firmly established by the 1920s. It is part of a donation which contains a mixture of garments worn by Peranakan men and women.
