This dompet has a unique semi-circular shape quite unlike other envelope purses. The front flap is adorned with a fully beaded bouquet of flowers and what is possibly a pomegranate, a symbol of fertility. The flap opens to reveal a cluster of flowers and mango fruits. This dompet is also embroidered with gold thread in a style known as tekad timbol. Tekad timbol was not only practised by the Peranakans but also by the Malays, for whom it was better known as tekat.
