The baju panjang is made of silk fabric with embossed floral patterns, and lined with panels of linen on the inside. In late 19th century Penang , there was a large selection of materials to choose from for the making of baju panjang, including silk, European cotton and velvet. It is part of a donation which contains a mixture of garments worn by Peranakan men and women.
