The Reservist handbook featured rules and regulations which all National Service (NS) Men would need to take note when they report for their Reservist. In practice, Operationally-Ready NS Men are all routinely called up annually for reservist duty until they complete their reservist cycle obligations or upon the legally statutory discharge age. This artefact was part of the selection in the time capsule buried in 1990 by then DPM Ong Teng Cheong to celebrate Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence in 2015.
