This kebaya is embroidered with peony and foliage motifs against a gingham fabric with white flecks. Kebayas with elongated tapered ends were popular in the 1930s and many were commissioned by Peranakan women. It is part of a donation which contains a mixture of garments worn by Peranakan men and women.
