Japanese language textbook for adults

This textbook is meant for adult use and is published by the Malai Gunseikan-bu (Military Adminstration Department of Malaya). It is written for the local audience in mind, using names such as Salim and Othman. The Japanese made Japanese language a compulsory subject in schools. Many people made the effort to learn the language as it helped boost their employment prospects.
