Commemorative journal on the Opening of National Stadium

The National Stadium was completed in time for the 7th SEAP Games from 1 to 8 September 1973 and this journal was published to commemorate its opening. Singapore was also keen to host the SEAP Games to complement the country’s on-going “Sports for All” programme. It would also foster Singapore’s ties among the various participating nations. This artefact was part of the selection in the time capsule buried in 1990 by then DPM Ong Teng Cheong to celebrate Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence in 2015.
