“After the Honeymoon” family planning booklet

The family planning policy between the 1970s and 1986 emphasised on “Stop at two” to control population growth and fertility rates. It proved so successful that it had to be reversed from the 1980s onwards. Through stories such as the one in this booklet, with 2 central characters – Ah Toon and Ah Seck, and the use of the four official languages, the family planning policy hoped to reach out to more newly-wed couples.
